Public Voting Rules

Voting Period

Public voting will open at 00:01 (UK time) on 1 August 2026 and will close at 23:59 (UK time) on 15 October 2026.

Votes received outside of this period will not be counted.

How Voting Works

• Each approved entrant will receive a unique voting link.
• Voting will take place exclusively through the official Music Recognition Awards voting platform.
• Members of the public may vote for their favourite entrants subject to any voting limits in place.

Fair Voting Policy

The Music Recognition Awards are committed to maintaining a fair transparent and honest voting process.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• The use of automated voting software bots or scripts.
• Purchasing votes or using vote exchange or vote farming services.
• Creating or using fake duplicate or fraudulent accounts.
• Any attempt to manipulate or interfere with the voting process.

Where suspicious activity is identified Twisted reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action including:

• Removing fraudulent or invalid votes.
• Suspending or removing entrants from the competition.
• Disqualifying entrants found to have breached these rules.

Voting Limits

To protect the integrity of the awards voting restrictions may apply.

These may include limits based on:

• Individual users
• Devices
• Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
• Email addresses
• Other fraud prevention measures

Any attempt to bypass these restrictions may result in votes being removed and may lead to disqualification.

Judging & Final Decisions

Public voting forms part of the overall judging process.

Twisted reserves the right to:

• Verify the authenticity of votes.
• Audit voting activity.
• Investigate suspected irregularities.
• Remove fraudulent or invalid votes.
• Make final decisions regarding finalists and winners where exceptional circumstances arise.

All decisions made by Twisted are final.

Promotion Guidelines

Entrants are encouraged to promote their official voting link through legitimate channels.

However entrants must not:

• Mislead voters or make false claims.
• Claim or imply they have already won.
• Offer prizes gifts incentives or financial rewards in exchange for votes.
• Engage in any activity that brings the Awards into disrepute.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary action including disqualification.

Technical Issues

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the voting platform operates correctly Twisted cannot be held responsible for:

• Website outages.
• Internet or connectivity issues.
• Lost delayed or incomplete votes caused by technical faults.
• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Right to Amend

Twisted reserves the right to:

• Amend these voting rules where necessary.
• Extend shorten suspend or cancel the voting period in exceptional circumstances.
• Introduce additional anti-fraud measures where required.

Any significant changes will be published on the official Music Recognition Awards website.

Fair Play Statement

The Music Recognition Awards exist to recognise genuine talent creativity and dedication within the music community.

Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage undermines the integrity of the Awards and the hard work of every entrant. We take voting fraud seriously and will investigate any suspected breaches of these rules.
